But today the stakes are even more ambitious: a collaboration, which I have
been keeping with the Instituto Superior Técnico, and the latest technical partnerships
in which I am involved with various engineering firms, have been forming studies and projects
where the interaction of integrated passive and active systems contribute effectively to the
setting of space constructed with flagrant reductions in costs of both installation and maintenance,
and thereby contributing to a relevant use of alternative energy products in the burning of fossil
fuels. Something unconventional that systematizes the broadest sense of skill and art in the vast
intervention process, from the territory to the object.
In this context lies the recent participation in the Programme for the Modernization of Portuguese
High School Schools, from Parque Escolar, and projects on residential, services, trade and tourism
classes, which to the quality of the natural environment, have been adding unique and specific values
through providing a offer of innovative products such as the California's Sea in Sesimbra, Praia da
Marinha in Lagoa, Quinta dos Carvalhos in St. João dos Montes, the Green Park at Sacavem, the Morgado
Lusitano at Povoa de Santa Iria, Povoa's Trasnport Interface by the Povoa de Santa Iria Wharf and the
Quinta da Barrada settling (New Alcobaça) at Alcobaça.
Paying particular attention to the programmatic interpretation and affecting the research for the benefit
of trends and potential inherent traits of each study and each context, the experience I acquired over four
decades of professional activity offers confirmed knowledge, revaluated when face to face with innovation
and weighting of solutions which result from a well informed and matured projectual exercise.
